We are in the early stages of setting up a school for children on the autistic spectrum in the South of England. This will be for children of secondary age. We have a ten year old who is struggling to fulfill his true abilities in his local special school. We feel the only way is to form a school for him and others with complex needs.

  The aim is for the school to follow the principals of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), as well as any other teaching techniques that we feel are valuable.  The children will be set small targets and get lots of positive reinforcement to achieve their individual goals. There will be one to one teaching as well as group work. Initially the school will educate 5 - 6 pupils. We want to also offer speech and language therapy as well as sensory integration.

At present we are forming a charity and aim to be up and runing in September 2007. 

We need a celebrity patron to raise the profile of the school and help fundraising because at the moment we have little in the bank!!
